November 1990. The first hunt with the gun that my Dad had left me. 1969 Browning BAR .30-06 on the above mentioned ranch. Great buck/doe ratios and the rut was awsome. I finally caught a big one with "his pants down" so to speak and sealed the deal with dad's rifle. My son was 2 in Nov 2005. It was the first year that we killed a mature buck on our place (6 years of passin' em up) As fate would have it I was carrying Dad's rifle again. 13 pointer chasin' a doe. My son came up with my wife and helped me recover him...I'll never forget that.

My wife and I are fortunate. We have 640 acres to mess with. We work hard to provide wild deer with all that they need to "live there with us" We also enjoy riding our ATVs around our place,over in SE Oklahoma or in northern Michigan.

I started riding bucking horses (BB for those in the know) when I as 15. I eventually spent 6 years in the army where I got to continue to ride and I earned a trip out here to FT.SILL. I got to ride army horses for a living and had taken up bullriding when I met my wife. We got to live on a 15,800 acre cow/calf ranch out here for 9 years before getting our own place. After the army I followed in dad's footsteps and became an LEO.

Grew up in Michigan and was lucky enough to be a part of the "Orange Migration" for afew years. My Grandpa was a Russian imagrant and used to ferry across to the upper penninsula (before the bridge) to hunt whitetails.
