It was my second year hunting. It was the middle of December at about 11:00. I decided to sit late. I was about to leave. I must mention that this time of the year the deer were getting ready to rut. Anyway back to the story. I had seen nothing that morning and I took one last look around. As I began too tie up my gun to let it down I saw something in my periphials. I looked over and saw nothing but horns. I turned quietly and looked, by the time I got my gun ready and everything the buck was past the point of the lane I had to shoot through. I was discouraged and was trying to look through the trees to maybe see if I could get another shot. At that time I looked back to the lane and there stood another buck. I quickly turned and just shot with my semi-automatic shotgun. bam bam on the second shot the buck dropped.
