I've held the future

When you become a father you see in the faces of your children the future...I now realize that as a grandfather that feeling is more intense when you hold your grandbaby and look into his face.  I have held the future in my arms...but I wonder what kind of future I will leave him the seeds of?

Have I taken the stands that I need to in order to insure his freedom?  Will he be able to own firearms as an adult?  Will he be able to enjoy the outdoors and hunting like I have?  Or have I sat complacently by and allowed these freedoms, these rights, to be chipped away, to be legislated into near oblivion?

It is a frightening and sobering thought that we may have remained silent too long.  Most everyone that frequents this site loves hunting and owns firearms.  What are we really doing to insure that the future generations will have the freedom to enjoy that same things that we do?

really great ehodkin,it is so easy to sit back and enjoy all of the beauty and freedom that we have, without doing anything to ensure that our future generations can enjoy the same

Great thoughts ,we all need to take a more active roll to fight for what we believe in.
