i was wondering what everybodys going to do to improve there season for next year. me, im going to fix a deer stand thats been down for awhile and start bow hunting.

rabbit hunting

I ant been rabbit hunting in a while. i use to love rabbit hunting. to hear the pack on a hot rabbit and he jumps out boom boom boom. and then after the kill i can picture him in the frying pan.Im thinking about to go one day soon. Does any of yall rabbit hunt?

I said i was going hunting for the last time a few weeks ago.. well all i seen was ten does.. and u cant kill a doe in arkansas without a permit. and i didnt have a permit. i guess better luck next year

my muzzeloader miss

It was one cold saturday morning and my uncle had put me in a place were theres buck sign everyvwhere. I had been seatin there for a while and i guess it was around 730 when i herd something comin through the leaves.. i looked to my left up the hill and there stood three deer. I could tell the last one was a buck. so i got on my nees and raised the smoke pole to my shoulder and boom smoke went everywhere and i went tumblin backwards. When the smoke cleared i looked and couldnt see the deer. My unlce came up to me and asked were is he at. i pointed to the hill. when we arrived up there there was nuting to be seen. Then my uncle asked me to tell him wat happend when i got to the part when i tumbled over he busted out laghing sayin i probley missed. Then when we were standin around talking we herd another shot down the ridge. it was my aunt she had killed a little buck. (i have missed more bucks with the smoke pole than i have ever in my life maybe ill get one next year)

my first deer

It was a cold frosty morning... we went to the stand (me and my uncle) set down on a ridge with tons of acorns on it... well in about 5 minutes after sittin down i fell asleep...(now rember i was only 8 or 9)... and around 730 my uncle woke me up... i could see the outline of the deer and my uncle grunted and here he came... at about 20 yards i raised my 20gauge mossberg with buckshot lined the sites on his neck and squeezed the trigger.. down he went.. i got up there and it was a button head.... now that im 14 ive killed 5 deer my biggest one a spike... but im still trying for the big one
