Ground Hog Hunting - 2007

6-1-07 Tuck and I spent the afternoon driving around looking for hay fields that have been cut by the farmers. The farmers are starting to cut their first crop of hay here around home and this is prime time ground hog hunting. Usually about 2 hours before the sun sets in the evening, this is the time to hunt ground hogs in fresh cut hay fields. We spent a few hours scouting out some nice fields that will offer some 500+ yard shots and we plan on sitting in these fields tomorrow night with the range finder and 300 Remington Ultra Mag, laying wait for the little vermin... We'll Keep you posted to our success and the ranges that we are knocking the hogs off at, along with pictures added to my Gallery... ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- 6-24-07 Well here it is, 23 days later and I still haven't found the time to get out ground hog hunting. The grass in the hay fields is starting to get pretty high again. Maybe in the next few weeks the farmers will start cutting second crop and I can get out and bust a few hogs..
