It's that time of year when most are fishing for them big bass, bluegill, or crappie. But with bowseason in a couple of months I'm getting excited about gettin out and using my spotting scope and video camera to tape these bucks that you can pattern so easy. And watching them grow is pretty neat. It seems like they go from little nubs to big velvet wrapped antlers in no time. After I get them patterned and some good video footage I'll lay low until the beginning of September. I'll strap the climber to my back, put the hoyt in my hand and get in a tree. I'm pretty stoked. I've already saw a buck that's pushing 130" and there is almost 2 months of growing left. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I was deer hunting this morning and I bet you there were 15 squirrel running around out in front of me. They were going crazy. I watched them for about 15 minutes before I realized that I had forgot about deer hunting. I hadn't thought to look behind me or pay attention to what was going on to either side. I lost my focus and was watching the squirrels. And then God reminded me of something. Sometimes when we're supposed to be looking to God and having a relationship with him, we forget about him and concentrate on other things. We push him to the side for a little while.
Not that watching squirrels is bad or anything, God just knows what to use to get my attention. He does yours too. Don't know how important this journal entry really is, but hopefully it can help you out. Please send replys.
God bless!
